Human Rights Foundation Launches Report on Youth-Led Movements

(BANGKOK, August 14, 2025)—On August 14, 2025, The Fort hosted a closed-door event organized by the Human Rights Foundation to launch the report Youthquake: Youth-led Movements Shaking Up East and Southeast Asia. The report investigated youth-led movements across East and Southeast Asia, including those within diaspora communities, covering the period between the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in December 2019 and 2023.

During the event, representatives from the Human Rights Foundation shared the report findings and facilitated a discussion on addressing issues identified in the report. About 20 people joined the event, including representatives from the U.N. agencies, news outlets, and others.
