Waiting to be Free: Uyghur Refugees’ 10 Years in Thai Detention

On March 9, 2024, we discussed the situation of Uyghur refugees in Thailand, the policies that keep the arbitrarily and indefinitely detained, and potential solutions.

The event began with a recorded message from family members of Uyghur refugees in detention as well as an opening address by the Advisor to the Human Rights Commissioner of Thailand, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A.
